How do I get these codes to work on my MX-3000? [Link: remotecentral.com]
I have done the following:

First download Pronto Edit, then select TSU1000 when you launch it. Press Alt+P to add a panel (Or go to Panel-Add Panel). A panel of buttons will come up. Double click on a button, the click "Set IR". Click "View IR" then a box will come up at the bottom. Paste the hex code into this button, then click OK, then OK again. Repeat for all other buttons. Then go to File-Save Configuration As and save it as a .ccf.

I then used the universal browser in the MX-3000 editor to open the ccf file and did a drag & drop to the buttons I wanted but none of the buttons do anything. What am I doing wrong??

Let me try and make a URC file for those. I'll post it if I can get it to work.

Tell me if this works. If it does, I'll add it to the files section.

I have the discrete commands in rcc or mxd for the Panasonic using code # 1 on. off & flex but I have no idea how to turn them back into hex to compare and I still need the same commands for the Panasonic codes # 2 & 3.

None of them even try to issue a command except flex1 which does work. I can tell if they are the wrong Panasonic code number because the machine will say check remote and display the current Panasonic code the machine is set for.

So I guess no one with a URC remote has these codes. Should have bought a Pronto with much more support and better database.

I don't understand what you mean. Are you talking about commands you derived from the Pronto Hex linked in post 1 of this thread? Or from the .mxd file OTAHD provided? Or from somewhere else?

but I have no idea how to
turn them back into hex to compare and I still need the
same commands for the Panasonic codes # 2 & 3.

The Pronto Hex linked in post 1 were all Panasonic protocol. Set 1 is device 176.0; Set 2 is device 176.16 and Set 3 is device 176.32.

Off (in each set) is function 63. On is function 62. Flex Rec is function 199.

The Flex Rec isn't a clean learn. You could get clean versions of all of those using MakeHex.

I meant to try that .mxd file with my MX-850 to see if it sends those same signals. I never got around to it. Maybe tonight. If you have a different .mxd you'd like me to "compare" give me a URL or email it.

None of them even try to issue a command except flex1
which does work.

Sounds like your device doesn't understand those discrete On and Off function numbers (though maybe Universal Browser imported them wrong).

I can tell if they are the wrong Panasonic
code number because the machine will say check remote
and display the current Panasonic code the machine is
set for.

Are you saying that didn't happen for the set 2 and set 3 versions of Flex Rec?

Both.

The Pronto Hex linked in post 1 were all Panasonic protocol.
Set 1 is device 176.0; Set 2 is device 176.16 and Set
3 is device 176.32.

Sorry but I don't really understand the makeup of the hex codes. I do not know what you mean by Set 1 is device 176.0; Set 2 is device 176.16 and Set 3 is device 176.32.

Off (in each set) is function 63. On is function 62.
Flex Rec is function 199.

The Flex Rec isn't a clean learn. You could get clean
versions of all of those using MakeHex.

The flex is just a standard button on my remote anyway.

I meant to try that .mxd file with my MX-850 to see if
it sends those same signals. I never got around to it.

I have since found discrete code #2 on-off commands that do work but I still need #3.

Are you saying that didn't happen for the set 2 and set
3 versions of Flex Rec?

Set #2 & #3 sent no commands to the Panasonic with the machine set to code #1, #2 or #3.

Do you have #2 on-off in Pronto Hex, or CCF, or .mxd file, or other form I might be able to decode?

If I see what working #2 looks like, I might be able to better guess what #3 should be.

I have them in rcc files. Can you use that? If not I will have to learn them on my other remote.

I don't know what an rcc file is.

I have JP1 remotes and an MX-850.

I can decode Pronto Hex (in string form or in a CCF file) and LIRC files despite not having any hardware that can use those formats. But other than those two formats, if I can't load it into the MX-850 or a JP1 remote to test, I probably can't decode it.

I'm far from expert at programming and using the MX-850. So if there is a way to get IR data into an MX-850 from something other than a .ccf or an .mxd, I haven't learned it yet and would need some instructions.

Email me and I can send you the rcc file which is an MX-3000 file and I have also made up an mxd file. Both can be opened in the universal browser in the MX program.

I decoded all the signal from the rcc file you sent:

Sat #1 On = Dish_Network:0.0:1
Sat #2 On = Dish_Network:0.1:1
Sat #3 On = Dish_Network:0.2:1
DMRE-1 On = Panasonic:176.0:62
DMRE-1 On = Panasonic:176.16:62
DMR-E1 Flex = Panasonic:176.0:199
Sat #1 Off = Dish_Network:0.0:39
Sat #2 Off = Dish_Network:0.1:39
Sat #3 Off = Dish_Network:0.2:39
DMRE-1 Off = Panasonic:176.0:63
DMRE-1 Off = Panasonic:176.16:63

Tell me if this works. If it does, I'll add it to the
files section.

Then I did the same test on that .mxd file. Except for FLEX1, every command in the file was garbage.

The Pronto Hex linked in the first post of this thread is consistent with the signals in that .rcc file (but both are incomplete).

OTAHD, how did you create that .mxd file? Do you know why all the signals other than FLEX1 are garbage?

I'll try to create an mxd file myself including the missing signals and see what results I get.

I emailed an .mxd file to you with three signals.

Since you already have working signals for Panasonic:176.0 and Panasonic:176.16 and we have reason to believe the third set you want is Panasonic:176.32 I did just Panasonic:176.32

1) I used MakeHex to create a full set (256 functions) for Panasonic:176.32 in a .hex file.

2) I used hex2ccf to convert that full set to a ccf file.

3) I used Universal Browser to drag just three functions: 62, 63 and 199 from that ccf file to my MX-850

4) I tested and found the MX-850 sends the correct signals (I don't really trust Universal Browser so I wanted to be sure).

5) I exported those three signals as an .mxd file and emailed them to you.

I expect they are the On, Off and Flex signals of set #3.

No clue what went wrong. I did the same thing I always do: Pronto Edit to import hex, save as CCF, import with Universal Browser.

I'm also looking for the codes, but don't have the unit at my house to play with.

Your email address isn't in your profile.

If you want the files I made, send me your email address (of course you could always do for yourself the same process I just described above). I assume you expect to have access to the unit some time soon.

I'm curious why Universal Browser imported the garbage that was in the .mxd file you posted. Do you still have the CCF file you used for that? I'd like to look at it to see if there is something about it that explains why Universal Browser messed up so badly.
