I wanted to use a IRS232 to provide 232 control to an NEC plasma, but seemed to have found that the IRS232 will not output hex codes above 7Eh, that is; it is limited to the lower 128 ASCII codes only - now it does say ASCII in the manual but does state it explicitly as a limitation and certainly Dragon Drop will allow any code to be setup. I'm guessing that while ASCII 232 control may be predominant, there must still be many many devices that use binary/hex ? What is the outlook for providing IR driven 232 for these devices ??
Regards, Chris
