I've installed a few Samsung Frame TV's. I have a customer who wants to install a 55" but wants to be able to pull the TV out and turn it.
What's odd is that Samsung website spec's say this TV has a 400 x 400 Vesa pattern, and I noticed it comes with those plastic mounting hole inserts. I figured those inserts were not used with the TV. I've never seen mounting holes other than the no gap mount. There's no way that Vesa pattern can be right! Or is it??
Anyone done this?
I figured I could probably use an in wall box and mount an articulating arm to the mounting holes that are on the TV used by the no gap mount...

The mounting holes are there, we just installed a 65" with a standard mount. However, if you do use the factory spacers they add about 3/4" to the depth.

400 x 400 is correct. I mounted a 43" on an art. mount. It replaced an existing TV that was semi-built-in to a cabinet. So it will actually sit nearly flush to the wall.
Go with an in-wall mount so it can still sit against the wall, or it will not look much like a picture frame, which I assume they are wanting, hence the Frame TV.

I use them all the time... usually new construction or remodel, but I've pulled drywall off walls a few times to head out for them too. For the Frame TVs it's important for the wall surface to be really flat so redoing the drywall is an opportunity to get it right. Here's that wall showing the head-outs in the framing for the backbox: This was a double framed wall, so I did a "box-in-a-box" and modified the TA500 so a 14" VersaBox could be installed into it to make space for a WattBox and a few other pieces so everything was hidden when the TV was pulled out: Recently set a TA500 into a concrete wall by installing it on the inside of the wall form and concrete was poured around it:

I don't know you personally but every time I see you post your work, I love your style. Very professional and well thought out. It helps to have a double wall for the extra box!

I put a 49” SEURA mirror on an articulating arm. Turned out well but make sure you choose the proper mount.
