Any recommendation on which DirecTV receiver to use as a Genie client when you have to use Ethernet, there's no coax?

It's a pool house with just fiber connection for Ethernet. Main TV is a 5.1 receiver system so I would prefer to use a satellite box at the equipment rack through AV receiver with the rest of the main room gear. The bedroom TV is RVU, so that's all set.

Main house is a HR44 with 2 coax c31 clients.

One site said you could reverse a DirecTV moca adapter on a C31, but that seems hoaky, and it's 'unsupported'.

Thanks.

Put a client on the sender side of the cat and do an HDMI extender. Zektor solocat. Use the built-in IR system if RF remote won't reach.

They run slow....but regardless an RVU still needs a coax to the display

they definitely do not. you can plug a sony tv directly into the network and, assuming the genie is plugged into the same network, it will work fine.

that being said, any tv with built in rvu IMO, isnt great. they work but........

no way wireless over a wired RVU. and the wireless clients dont work over the clients wifi, you have to have the directv wireless video bridge connected to the coaxial DTV network. the WVB then outputs its own wireless 5ghz signal for wireless clients to connect to.

Yes but the closer the deca is to the tv the better......I would not run that deca far from the tv.
