The Play 1 appears to have a single threaded hole on the back. Has anyone mounted these yet? What brackets did you use? There are lots of options out there.

I have not used any type of swivel or ball & socket wall mount speaker bracket for over 10 years.

Omni Mount? Sanus?

Flexon doesn't have one yet do they? I didn't see anything on an email blast I received.

oops, I see that Flexon does have a mount for the Play 1

What do you guys do about the power cord when it's mounted?
Knowing that Gold went up a few K makes me think "well now I have to do a better job on selling more equipment".

Is the power cold in wall rated?

Outlet at the speaker, mount right below it, zip ties, cleans up nicely

So the speaker hides it pretty well? Do you use the recessed outlet or just standard?

Wait! You mean I bought all these wireless speakers and they still plug-in? Bad!
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I'm assuming it would be against code, but what about a single gang electrical box, with Play one mounted to unbreakable plastic blank plate, with the Sonos power cord going into it, cut the cord and wire nut it to live romex?

You can still pull the power cord out of the bottom of the Play 1 unit, so seems like it may still be acceptable....

Opinions electricians?

I've used strap hinges and a recessed 1-G receptacle. This hangs almost flush to the wall. Best for high mounting, invert the PLAY:1 to hide the connections.
