new to marantz. does this unit have full discretes for zone 2? need to know asap. thanks.....

Yes, it has full discretes for zones 1 and 2. They are available on the Marantz website in both RC5/5X format as well as in a config file for the marantz touch screen remotes. They are not on the factory remote. Hope this helps.

sorry, i do not know the marantz line very well. I use denon's. the bb store i work for used to have onkyo, but now only marantz. before i get to involved i thought it would be smart to know that the product will be compatible to the job...

HELL YEAH THE MARANTZ HAS CODES FOR JUST ABOUT ANYTHING.
Can you import them to your remote... well thats where the threads grow!!!
I think URC has included them by now. We have them all in RTI. Lastly the Marantz website gives you direct input RC5/RC5x/RC6 for Philips remotes.

Learn to use Makehex and you can have all the Marantz discretes you could ever think of. Easiest way to convert the Marantz codes into something usable.

Is there anyone that would be willing to make available (email me, post on remote central, other) the Marantz zone 2 codes.
I have prontos (1000/2000/6000) and URC (mx-800).
I would really, really appreciate a ccf or mxd file that is ready to go for controlling zone 2 for a Marantz receiver (SR5001 - but I hear that they are all the same).
It would be great to finally get to the bottom of this.

i will be installing the 5001 on Tuesday. I hope when I install the mx-900 that i can use the codes from urc. I belive in this post they say use the sr7500 codes..
I wish this was one of my private customers and i could use a denon...

People, PLEASE do a search. This has been discussed before, at length.
skynrdfan, you have nothing to worry about. They have all the discretes you could want, and more. Just look 'em up. ccf's on website, ccf here in the files section and it's in the URC database under sr7500.
You won't be disappointed.

It's nothing man. Thanks to John Fine for creating Makehex and teaching me how to use it! All credit goes to him.
Now, in 2 months when someone asks for the codes you can tell them to search! :-)
These should work, but just so everyone knows you can use the commands in Daniel's SR7500 ccf that is on this site. The codes are the same across the line, with just additional functions in the higher models.
