Any idea if this has discrete remote control codes? The only TV I see close in the URC database is a KD43X80J.

I would like to know before I order one and it doesn't.

This is replacing a old LG that is not playing nice with Binary 4X4 matrix switch. The other 3 Sony TV's connected are playing fine together. The Spectrum App on the Roku is asking “do you want to continue watching spectrum" every time I switch the LG to it. Snap One suggested replacing the TV to solve the problem. Or would it be best to move up to the next 43" Sony model?

Just did one in a savant system and couldn’t get it to work, switched to ip and was good after that. Not sure why it wasn’t working, I was offsite and uploading changes thru vpn connection while guys were onsite. Power off would work fine but wouldn’t change inputs or power on.
There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

Confirmed by Sony, there are no discrete codes for the "77" line. Was one of the feature sets that was removed to make it a discount tv

I had the client get the next model up just to be safe.
Thanks!

What? Thats what they consider a step-up feature? It’s zero cost, not something that most users even know about, and has been around for like literally 40 years on Sony TVs.

Probably that model’s been contracted out to a budget company with a minimal Sony overlay, and they aren’t really following proper Sony control protocols… like some of those ultra cheap discrete-free DVD players that came out.

You may be right about what you said.
