Hey now all,

Taking a shot in the dark here but the Jandy guy on a project I'm going into has proven to be kind of a douche.
Homeowner has asked me to see if I might know an alternate

Anyone got a Jandy installer can recommend serving Brooklyn, NY area?

It's an existing pool and Jandy equip (house is being gut reno) and needs a few bits replaced or upgraded.

I heard smth about 2 interior control panels and a wireless controller. Also possibly some outdoor electrical box and/or pump work maybe.

And we need them sell and install the Jandy pieces so we can interface to ELAN (some serial control piece iirc)

If you know anyone, I'd appreciate a contact please.

Thanks.

FYI youre not gonna get serial control anymore with Jandy unless you have an existing Aqualink RS or find a NOS or used one on the internet. All they have now is the crappy iAqualink cloud interface. Yea it works ok but its laggy. I really wish they would have just developed a local IP control option into them but sadly no.

Thanks, I wasn't aware.   Over on the Elan forums I saw some talk not too long ago ppl using Aqualink 2.0 and saying the Elan driver had gotten decent.   Is that the cloud interface you're talking about or is that smth else?

Or is it worth the effort to go find some NOS or smth maybe used?

Thanks.

2.0 sounds like the iAqualink 2.0 interface and they have a 3.0 now too. Both are cloud based. Unless Elan has some voodoo to connect with it on a local level.

We had a job recently where we had to source a RS-232 Aqualink interface (because client has the newer cloud based one at another house and hates the lag) and found two- one obnoxiously priced on some website, and one onEbay that was used but working. Spent like $400 on that one. Theres just not many out there, and when it eventually blows up youre back at square one.
