There are no native Sonos Volume commands. Pick an arbitrary set of Volume commands and train Sonos to use them. It’s best that you avoid using commands of other nearby units.

There are in xfinity x1 and cox contour 2 remotes. Not sure about Sepctrum's boxes/remotes
.
I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

SONOS will recognize a few of the more common IR Volume commands during setup.

If you have a Sony TV using and older playbar and you don't want the message using a spectrum or Xfinity remote. Tell the Xfinity/spectrum remote you have a denon/yamaha/etc. audio device receiver. Once the remote is programmed for that device you learn the codes into the playbar with the playbar's learn code feature. The Playbar doesn't know it is not the TV remote.

The Sony no longer recognizes that you are sending one of its volume commands so you do not get a message and the volume will work fine.
