I need this because I'd like to get a Suite 8x8, but ADA went out of business a few years ago and I can't find the PC software on he internet.

I have the Suite 8x8 manual, and it looks like the software is essential to set up one of these units, especially since the one I might buy is the version without a front panel display.

but why? Is it really worth it to program a unit thats nearing 20 years old at this point?

But if you insist, I found this via google. Software is there. '

DM me if you still need it. I am 90% sure I still have most ADA software on my PC. Be forwarned though that most of it will not run on anything newer than Windows 7, some if it even needs XP.

Impaqt, thanks for the links, but I found these before and unfortunately the files are long gone.

In answer to your question (why program a unit that's nearing 20 years old?), well, I always thought ADA's stuff from this era was really cool, but it was out of my price-range at the time - and now it's not:)

Early 2000's BMW's were pretty cool.... I definitely could not afford one at the time...

Theres no way I would drive one of those today................

I can't think of many cool BMWs from the early 2000s, apart from the M3 CSL, but 'each to his own'!

The problem with old cars is they can cost huge money when something goes wrong but old audio equipment is normally zero-maintenance, and I would think ADA stuff was fairly well made.

By the way. does anyone know what happened to ADA's stock of parts when they shut down?

ceied, if you go to 'reply' and click 'advanced' at the lower right there's an option to add images, but it only seems to work with a URL from the internet.

How can you forget the M5? It was made up to 2003. And the Z3M? I'm a hard core BMW guy. I have too many according to my wife. And they are not expensive to repair if you know what you are doing and have maintained them properly.
And one of the great Shorts that BMW created featured Clive Owen driving Madonna in a 2003 M5.
