The total cost of the mounting solution is usually many times the cost of the monitor. I don't know why customers always act surprised at the cost.

thanks!! dam, i looked at that too i think, couldnt find a pole to gt to 70". can i dismantle mount part and put that on my own threaded pipe from home depot?

Absolutely. If you don't mind the appearance of the home depot or other third party vendor pipe, it's interchangeable. If you take into account labor to make the third party pipe pretty, you may choose to buy the Chief (or Peerless or....) pipe. Depends on what your time is worth.
