Is anybody else having issues with Integra.
I read the post from a few years ago.
I have a 50.5 from a take over and the audio is cutting out. Took it to get fixed would not fail on the test bench. Bring it to the office didnt fail. Reinstall it worked for a month and then the audio starts cutting out.

Everybody that sold Integra or Onkyo has had issues with them. It was an ugly 3-4 year stretch with them. I think they have gotten much better in the last few model years, but I haven't sold any of them for about 3 years now.

Never had any issues with .5 models. It was the 3 and 4s that had major HDMI decoding failures. Are you sure it's not something else like a bad speaker or wiring issue throwing the receiver into protection?

How exactly is the audio cutting out? I have a 50.7 in my own den that drops audio for about a second then comes back on.

3-4 years ago there was a bad batch of HDMI chips that everyone got. Onkyo/Integra had HUGE failures of the HDMI board to the point where there was a class action suit and they were (are still?) offering a replacement if you have an AVR that had the bad chips.
Other than that Integra is usually quite good, if there is an issue it usually presents itself on only one model but not a higher one: had a lot of issues with 5.7 and 6.7 but the 7.7 worked perfectly.

It amaizes me to this day that pros are still peddling rebadged onkyos...
Never ever understood that band wagon and why still people support them. Granted they have stood behind the hdmi issues, but only because the court said they had to.

3PM you're wrong. Things like RS232, triggers, hidden/extra inputs, variable line outs.. are terrific features available on every model. I can't tell you how much I love the input features. I also think they're some of the best sounding receivers available (and yes i've tried the Sony ES.. I have to as a direct Sony dealer). As stated, other than a couple bad years with the TI chip issue (which they were terrific about IMO) it's been smooth sailing.

I just received a repaired Onkyo a few days ago that was fixed under warranty from a take-over job. You can check the SN on their website to see if that receiver qualifies for free repair. The turn-around time from when you submit the request until receiving the unit back is about 2-3 weeks max, in my experience.
