I have seen people on here talking about using the Pronto or other IR remote to control X10. Why can't you use an Ocelot to learn IR codes that can then correspond to X10 commands in the Ocelot using Homeseer or something similar? I currently own and use an Ocelot but am thinking about getting a Pronto since I have 10 remotes and nothing short of a Pronto will do the trick to eliminate them all, however, I don't want to still use the X10 remotes to control the HA stuff. I am sure this can be done but I just haven't seen anyone on here discussing it. Any thoughts or experiences?

If you use an x-10 ir545 ir to powerline. I don't see why you couldn't do a search on x-10 website or for that mater search the pronto forum for x-10 , lighting control ,ir545 , etc.

Why would I want to use a IR543 (not 545)??? The Ocelot supports 2 way infrared and will learn any IR command so I think I answered my own question. I just thought more people on here would be using the technologies simultaneously, but what I am seeing is most people are either Home Theater or Home Automation, not many are playing with both. Oh well.
