The new Sony KZ32TS1 plasma TV uses a toggle for composite video inputs, a separate toggle for component video inputs, and a separate selector for the RGB input. The Sony Video 1 & 2 commands work, but not 3, 4, 5, & 6. Does anyone have discrete commands for a Pronto for this new TV?

I can't beleive that Sony is moving backwards in the fight for universal discrete codes.

My parent's have an all Sony system from the early 90' which operates on all discretes. (with the stock sony remote to boot!!) that sucks that they quit using the same codes for their newer TV's

dbaldwin,

I just finished working with a KZ42TS1 and here is a solution that I came up with:

Power On:
Since the unit is turned on by any combination of numbers from the keypad, just use a digit and then enter.( I used 3 + 6 + enter which is the preview channel around here so everytime they turn the tv on thats the channel they see.)

Power Off:
Same sequence for on but with a toggle power button at the end of it. If its on it shuts off, if its off it turns on for a split second then shuts off.

Video 1, 2 component 1,2 RGB:
Same concept as power, if you use a channel # + enter then use a video toggle command or a component toggle command once or twice then you have discrete inputs.

I didn't use any delays in any of the sequences, the tv seems to be able to respond to the commands very quickly.

hope this helps, good luck

Thanks for the tips. I knew I could do it with macros, but I was hoping for discrete codes if I could get them.
