Has anyone ever found a discrete IR code for the HD and discrete code for SD on Dish Network / Expressvu 6000 Hi def sat receiver??? Perhaps any way of "forcing" one of these actions??? Thanks for any responce or ideas.

You could accomplish it by using a control option that can sense video over the composite output. Write a command - "if there is video over composite, you are in SD mode and if you want to go to HD mode, send the command etc".
