Hello everyone my name Jonathan I am 17 years old and would like to know how to go about getting a job in Custom Theater installing. How do I get started? And also I would like to know what is the usual pay rate in that line of work,I hear its prety good but I would like a Ball park figure. Any info you pros could give me would be greatly apreciated I am looking forward to your input. By the way I am not totally dumb in the Home theater buisness I have a lot of self taught knowledge in the biz and know alot about the differnt brands and setups.I also have a good knowlge on the Marantz RC5000,9200 and pro remote controls I used to program them alot. But any way please help me if you can and thanks for reading.

Twiggy, the best thing you could do would be to go to CEDIA.org and find a company in your area. From what I have seen the typical starting wage for an Installer is around 10-12 dollars per hour.If you have any other questions feel free to email me. I too started out at a youg age and did because it was something that was fun and profitable.
