No Beer here, dude. I saw that disgusting line of crap
Rush was spewing today about Rahm. I didn't see much humor
in any of your tongue in cheek post. Sorry. Just sarcasm
with a little veiled anti semitism, and Rush Limbaugh
talking points.

You take great liberties and paint me with a broad brush. You also do not know me. Anti-semite? You can't be for real. You are 180 degrees off, dead wrong, and are flashing ignorance for the whole world to see.

Look, Tom I know you are big FOX fan,

Tell me how you know that. Remember that you do not know me. Be careful you don't look foolish when you reply. If I reeled off the commentators I listen to, you would be surprised.

and Rush's comments today-of which you borrowed some info about his name really
pissed me off.

Wrong again bat-breath. I did not even hear this stuff you are talking about. I worked all day and Music Choice played non-stop at the client's home. I did not watch 10 seconds of television. Any questions?

Face it. You have a hot button and seething hatred for anyone who doesn't see things your way. It is okay we disagree. The difference between you and me is that I can let you believe what you want and just leave it be. You on the other hand go ballistic and begin cursing and swearing, throwing talking points of your own, making claims about me when you don't even know me (all of which are way off).

What is in you that makes you so full of hate? Isn't there something about you that is civil and able to carry on a debate with conviction but yet there is respect that rules above all?

I see why you got whooped the other day. The things you get away with here don't work face to face, do they? Sorry to be so blunt.

I've been on this board a long time and you have changed. I'm sorry to see that. I don't like to see anyone so overcome by hatred he can't even carry on a civil conversation.

It was you about 1.5 years ago during another political - oriented debate, that I should seriously consider listening to FOX News, as they were fair and balanced etc.

Gee then you just happened to know the Hebrew interpretation of the name Emanuel? Also referring to Obama as "The Messiah" is again "Fox-Speak".

What is in you that makes you so full of hate? Isn't

rules above all?

It's not hate so much as anger from the barrage of racist and anti semite comments from Rush and the boys and girls at Fox which just fuel the fires of racism and party
divide. We're trying to move forward and learn to live together better, and the venomous attacks, and propaganda Rush, especially throws out there is infuriating.

I see why you got whooped the other day. The things you
get away with here don't work face to face, do they?
Sorry to be so blunt.

Well when I was walking towards my car and was asked if I voted for Obama, and replied yep, -- getting knocked out and robbed was deserved? O.K.

I haven't changed other than I have become more and more frustrated as it came closer to election time how Racism has raised it's ugly head, and come out of the closet more, when I was thinking we were advancing the other way!

This is an example of what I am talking about. Played over and over by Rush on his program:

It's like just when I thought we were moving forward, these guys move us back oh, about 200 years or so.

Not funny, relevant or classy. Does the far right want to incite a race war? Probably, f*cking idiots.

of the name Emanuel?

First chapter of the New Testament - it's not any hidden information, really:

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Is that OK by you? No conspiracy or hate speech involved.

It's not hate so much as anger from the barrage of racist
and anti semite comments from Rush and the boys and girls

Bruce, you can try to fool yourself, but many calm people here know hatred when they read it. Anger taken to the limit. It is impossible to disguise or explain away.

Well when I was walking towards my car and was asked if

Undeserved for sure. I'd just like to ask, is there any more to the story, like any other conversation or comments that may have fueled a fire? If not then I fully retract my comment and call it dumb and presumptive.

Uh, no. These guys the cops assume, these two saw me leaving the election celebration party at the restaraunt and followed me. WHen they were within striking distance behind me one hollered out who I voted for. Without any other comments or even turning around I
simply said: "The one that won"! Thinking it might be someone also from the viewing party. Then I stopped to turn around and that is when I got sucker punched.

I think robbery may have been a strong motive, and they must have been drunk, and possible upset over the way the election went as one of them made a comment about voting for "The "N"-ger, after they asked who I voted for... So if you randomly came up with the Emmanuel quote (I didn't know you were a religious guy, and that's fine), then allow me to apologize.

It's just that the Neocon's and Righties are sarcastically, referring to the Pesident Elect as the Messiah, and they are now trying to paint Rahm Emmanuel as this horrible guy who the Arabs are going to be all freaked out about --- so I assumed you were drinking the FOX Kool Aide. If that isn't the case, I'm sorry because when you assume they say, well you know the expression.

I take back my attack on you Tom. I am just really pissed at the racism and divisionism of the neocons out there.

I'm a little touchy about the subject too after nearly being killed.

Appreciate your post, thanks.

Rahm is a very interesting choice. He is surely an active force in the party and has a "take no prisoners reputation".

There has been some talk that the current level of support for Israel would take a big drop with BO - like he doesn't feel the call to support them in light of the animosity it creates in the Arab world. Many who do not know some of the history of that land consider Israel to be THE problem.

HOWEVER, with Rahm as chief of staff, I'd guess he would be a strong advocate for continuing our long standing support of Israel.

This is not an insightful comment I guess but I just found it interesting to ponder.

BTW, other trivia from the Bible:

Psalms 122:6 "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee." I wonder if our support constitutes "love" in any way and could be one of many causes for ongoing American 'prosperity' - just an idle thought not meant to stir any dissention!

Yeah, actually--Rahm has a reputation for being an intense, driven, a real son of a b*tch, which counters what a lot of people thought he'd have in his staff.
I think a lot of people thought he'd pick some girly-man wimp --- but it looks like he is trying to pick a staff that is diverse and with some hard asses as well as intelligent.

I hope this stuff works out.

Sorry Tom for the Tirade... I am fearing the Safety of the Prez. Elect. I was around when the Kennedy's were both lost to us, and there have been numerous threats already --- and the neocon news elements are dialing up the criticism, fear, resentment and hatred already.

i'm not an overly religious guy and i knew the emmanuel context.... granted i could not quote it verbatum or chapter and verse... i knew it exsisted.

It's just that the Neocon's and Righties are sarcastically,
referring to the Pesident Elect as the Messiah,

wrong again mr angry man. the messiah comment comes for the great and powerfull reverend wright and from louis farrakhan..... the "righties" as you call tehm are just repeating what your guys have said.

and they are now trying to paint Rahm Emmanuel as this horrible
guy who the Arabs are going to be all freaked out about

rahm emmanuell is a horrible guy. he is a chicago political thug. who cares what the arabs think.... they hate us anyway.

--- so I assumed you were drinking the FOX Kool Aide.
If that isn't the case, I'm sorry because when you assume
they say, well you know the expression.

if i'm drinking kool-aid you bet it will be fox news. it will not be the hatred of the blogs you read or the news you watch.

I take back my attack on you Tom.

dude, tom has to be one of the nicest most genuine people out there. granted i have never met tom face to face, but we have talked and emailed... im pissed you could or would think of him that way.

I am just really pissed at the racism and divisionism of the neocons out there.

stanley, how about you step back a few steps and look at the hatred, racism and divisioism spewing out of your mouth. and how about the same being spewed out of the mouths of the blogs and news you watch.... the left is just as hatefull if not more.

ultimately stanley i am not getting into a discussion of this with you. i am just making some points.

more food for thought....

...never mind its a moot poit because you ust cant and wont understand.

and yes stanley you have become a very bitter angry man in the last year..... i used to think you were a funny guy.. now i just think you are mad and angry and hatefull. its too bad.. i liked the funny stanley better. i dont like this stanley.

Well Ed all points well taken.
Gun sales have mushroomed since the election. Especially automatic assault rifles.

And yeah I am angry, after seeing how McCain ran his election, and at the fact people would accept his VP as an actual viable candidate, and to see all these racist red necks and hillbillies and uneducated guys and gals coming out of the woodwork.

Have I been racist? I don't think so, rather the opposite. Angry, yes because I hate to see the ugly side of America. That's all.

Go to Youtube and check out videos of: Racism at McCain Rallies...

You'll see where some of that anger comes from, and why I am concerned.

So did I... But I was shocked at the level of racism in this country recently, along with ignorance and intolerance.

I grew up in the sixties, with a lot of racism, my dad and his pals while not totally racist were bigots. They were all Republicans, and didn't mourn the Kennedy(s) or MLK assasinations. That was around forty years ago.

I was hoping we'd move forward, and while we have, there is the hate spewing, racist, anti semitic sh*t spewing FOX "fair and balanced" losers, who 24/7 are mind f*cking their religious -right & conservative base listeners, and it is disgusting to see and hear.

I wonder... do you think the guys that jumped me were FOX fans? I'd put a $1,000 on it.

Hate? Yeah I hate Hannity & Rush - very much, along with Rupert Murdoch.

Now that the election is over, I am turning off the news for a while...

ed, maybe when you get a little older, and look back at what has gone down in the U.S. in the last 8 years or so, and you are a little more open minded and objective, and you TIVO some of those older FOX news (lies), you'll gain a better understanding.jmo

Nothing personal - really, so don't take it personally.

I'm perosnally an independent, I am now way a very political person, but I try to keep up, at least recently. I agree with some Republican views and more Democratic views. I come from a very low income family, I grew up in a heavily Republican State in a small town. I spend some of my life in a city (Boise, ID) and my high school years in a small rural town, I started working at 14 on a ranch bucking hay and fixing fences, later worked on a dairy milking cows, then driving tractors and feedking cows, then construction, flooring, drywall, then I graduated, started college and got an office job in a cubical.

My parents are both democrats, my father disagrees with parties and strongly believes that it really doesn't matter anymore, the government has to much corruption all throughout.

Personally, the things about our country that is great is how we can transfer the highest power authority from one person to the next respectfully. When Bush won the last two elections their were plenty of upset people, but no threats on his life. I was going to be happy regardless of which party won the presidency, however the last couple months of the McCain campaign changed my opinion, maybe not of him but the values of the party.

I KNOW that racism and prejudices with ALWAYS exist WORLDWIDE, but here in America we HAVE to be able to repect our differences and agree to disagree. IF we don't I think the country will slowly continue downhill.

Sorry, this is a very random, unorganized spew of thought.
