+1 Most of us have been self taught. There are advantages and disadvantages to this. A disadvantage is that there can be some embarrassing gaps in our knowledge that would have been basic points in a formal education program. On the other hand, our broad knowledge base brought from our experience in other industries gives us a leg up when solving unique problems. |

Hey everyone, I'm John from Simplex Technology. Long time lurker but finally decided to join the fun. Long background as a Unix engineer and doing home automation as DIY and for others for a long time. A few years ago I branched Simplex Technology into doing professional HA development and integrations and finally decided to get into the professional areas of home automation and A/V. Now doing Lutron, Insteon, ISY, DoorBird, BrulTech and just recently RTI. Looking to learn a lot from others. |
