The above listed HEX codes that Daniel post work for On and Off. Try those.

Daniel-

What is the best way to get this code loaded into a Home Theatre Master MX-500 Remote Control? I'm thinking this must be a two step process using another programmable remote, preferably a PDA with appropriate software, and a conversion from the code below to .ccf to load into the PDA. Then the PDA can teach the MX-500.

Do you know what can be used to do all of this?

Thanks.

We couldn't get the on code above to hit every time today
using a Crestron system. From the rear input or an emitter.
Hit pretty solid the second time every time though. We
had to leave it like that and the client was OK with it.

Had to give it a 3 second duration to get it to work like
that.

The Off worked every time

Anyone else have troubles with these?

It sucks that only Power turns the unit on from the remote
(or front face)!

I had this problem with an Integra NVS 7.7 controlled by an RTI remote. As strange as it sounds I had to send all codes twice to keep the remote in sequence. This required creating macros for every button on the remote and sending them when controlling the media center. After that it worked fine and still does today.

speaking of this blue ray player, does anyone know why it takes so long to come on, and read and play? is there an actual pc in the box that boots up everytime? maybe it's better to leave it on forever? any thoughts?
It's always something.....sigh.

You're going to need some other computer programmable remote that can take Pronto hex format. If you have a PDA with IR emitter, then that could work if you get appropriate software. Also you can probably get it from a One For All remote with JP1 or advanced codes.

It seems that pretty much all HD players are slow to boot up and operate, and they are essentially an embedded computer system. The PS3 is actually one of the quicker BD players available.
