With PS3 sales now over 21 million units, combined with the console's popularity as a Blu-ray movie player, more and more owners are wanting to make their system easier to control. Watching a movie with that game controller just isn't ideal!

I got rid of my DVD player when I got my Playstation but I have a question...

Can anyone tell me why I should use the Playstation remote when my game pad already works fine?

If you are the only one using the gamepad, it's all good, don't bother with the remote or remotes.

If you have a wife/family or inlaws/friends/relo's stay over and that have never used/seen a gamepad before, a 'familiar' remote style is easier to use, that was my experience.
