Hi I am i use a PDA remote at home and work. In both locations it would be useful to have an wireless extender as the Philips have the RF extender. I have given a lot of time to this searching the Internet. There is a way i can see that it can be done. There is a program that doses it but not for IR it uses bi-directional RS232. An IP addressable, RS232 to network adaptor. Using software that sends a signal out over a wireless network, which is picked up by the adaptor. If you can send this a signal that in-tern outputs a pre-determined Hex code you can input that into any standard IR relay system. There is only 3 active pins in the system I hav seen Pin 2 Rx Pin 3 Tx Pin 5 Gnd Net Streams currently use this for their Musica system Using XIVA Tacta but this is only for Musica. If you could assign IR or even a combination of IR and rs232 to a GUI like CCF you would have a system as powerful as Crestron wireless control for the price of a PDA and a few bits of readily available hardware.
