I was going to purchase a simpad to use as hometheater control, but now am considering getting homeseer and an elo touchpanel with main lobby. Only thing is the touch panel isn't wireless. Does anyone know if the viewsonic airpanel will work as a touchpanel for main lobby? Or is it more reliable to use a wired connection. Or can mainlobby be installed on the simpad? Thanks in advance.

I thought the main programs were pormixus's Girder and Net Remote, the plug-in program is Main lobby. Net Remote is then used on your pda as the remote to the others.

sbquart,
You can certainly use an Airpanel with MainLobby. The software really runs on a desktop PC and the airpanel uses RDP to connect to it. I along with many other users have this setup.
The connection is very reliable. But will obviously depend on your wireless signal strength. Placement is key. Boosters can also be added to enhance the strength if necessary.
I believe the Simpad's do support the Macromedia Flash Player, but as of today, MainLobby is an executable program so it won't run in a browser. So no, not today. Future plans will allow for Internet browser/Flash compatibility meaning you could even use a Mac with a browser to control components/home.
HOpe this helps.
