Inside Simon Cowell's Automated 'X Factor' TrailerBy Rachel Cericola
TV mogul Simon Cowell spends his downtime in an 1,100-square-foot space outfitted with AMX touchscreens, multiple 3D TVs and more.If you were amazed by Ashton Kutcher's automated trailer that features seven 3D plasma TVs, 360-degree, 24/7 security and costs $8,750 per week, you'll want to feast your eyes on this puppy from Simon Cowell.
The "American Idol" and "The X Factor" creator gave the The Hollywood Reporter an exclusive look inside his trailer on the set of "The X Factor", and it features more technology than most homes we’ve seen.
While it's not quite as big or impressive as Kutcher's super trailer, Cowell's 1,100-square-foot, 40-ton, two-story "mobile office" will score high marks with any judge.
Cowell's trailer, which was custom built by Anderson Mobile Estates, features AMX touchscreens, electric shades, 26 speakers, and three 60-plus-inch 3D TVs for watching live feeds of "The X Factor" rehearsals.
Cowell spends as many as six days a week in what he considers a fully fledged working office. "It's like Pimp My Trailer," says Cowell.
