Some years back I bought some equipment form Vince who was great to work with -- he had a lifetime update option if I changed equipment-- I just got a new projector and I haven't been able to reach Vince in over a week-- is he no longer in business?? I tried email and the Total Remotes website with no answer--
If anyone knows how to get in touch please let me know. Otherwise I'll need someone to help reprogram the remote to swap the old Sony projector for my new Epson 5050
Thanks in advance

Last I heard he was working for RTI.
Do you have the CCP software?

Anyway to reach him?? I tried the phone number no answer.
I had CCP software in the past but on my newest computer i don't have it-- I believe I do have the latest configuration files though. So I could email that. Its actually 2 remotes -- one is the MX -980 which needs some changes due to new equipment and the other one is a URC similar style but touchscreen -- I forgot the model number but I do have the configuration file for that one too -- the touchscreen is the one I got the new projector for and a newer apple tv so that needs updating as well . the basic programming is the same--
Is this something you can help with?

I found an old version of CCP in my Pc downloads-- it works -- unfortunately when I updated it I got locked out because the new versions require a URC login which I no longer have. So I reinstalled the old 2013 version and didn't let it update.
So if there is anyone willing to look at the configuration file I have and update it for my new equipment I am assuming I can use the old version to download it to my remote-
Anyone? I will pay for your time obviously

I just tried to help someone the other day that was using an old version of CCP. Apparently, if someone uses the new version of CCP to make a file, the old version of CCP can't use it. I have no way to verify this but I have no reason to believe the person was lying to me either.
Your best bet - upload the file from the remote, using the old software you have. Save the file with a unique name for backup. Save the file again using a different name that you will be working with. Go to the Sony projector page, open the 'IR Database Navigator' and go to Projectors > Epson > and use #794. This covers many modern Epson projectors. Drag and drop the commands you need over the Sony ones. Download & test.
Your next best bet is to find a programmer near you. Surely there is someone close by. The cost of shipping a remote back & forth and programming, shouldn't cost less then just having someone local swing by and do it real quick.

Get a hold of URC. Sounds like they may let you do a live update if you talk nice.
