Current Setup: I have a MRF-260 and MRX-1 with antenna. Able to control both the base stations using MX-890 remote

Purchased an iphone app to control devices using iphone. Now when I complete the iphone setup process I assume I will be able to control the devices connected to MRX-1 using iphone.

How about devices connected to MRF-260? Does the MRF-1 take commands and send it to MRF-260/MRF-350 in RF format? Or do I need to buy another MRX-1 in the house to control devices at second place using iphone (I am worried about buying many MRX-1 since they are expensive)

- Basic question on if iphone can be used to control devices with non ip base station like mrf-260 or mrf-350. (Only having one ip base station in home like the mrx-1).

The mx-ios app will only control devices attached to the mrx1.  (Also urc lighting if you have an rftx1 attached to port 6 of your mrx1)

So looks like the option is to keep two MRX-1 at both the places.

Does that also means, I have to keep ethernet at both the places?
Logically yes but just in case you never know how technology can simplify lives.

yes, you need a network connection to both MRX1's.   You will program your MX-iOS unlock code to one of the MRX1's.

Hi Duct Tape,

I see something called "MRX-4IR". Does that work for me? It looks like it takes commands wirelessly. (Use MRX-1 at main location and MRX-4IR at second location)

If it works, the second question is. Does it take commands from my MX-890 and not just the MRX-1.

The MRX-4IR can be used with iOS app, but it cannot see any RF from any MX remote. MRX-4IR has either a hardwire LAN connection or a WiFi connection.
No RF antenna connection and no RFTX1 connection for URC lighting control.
