I have HTPC that uses a firefly remote that operations via RF. This controls my PVR and other software that is installed on my home theater computer. My TV, DVD, receiver is controlled with IR style remote. So I only have to deal with two remotes but would like to find a remote that will control everything. Can anyone suggest a remote that offers both RF and IR learning?

Thanks.

RF learning remotes do not exist yet. The reasons are complex, but the biggest technical part of the problem is that it's virtually impossible to elimnate enough RF noise to allow for clean learning. The regulatory issues are even greater: RF remotes are licensed to operate at specific frequencies, but a learning RF remote must concievably be able to broadcast at any of many frequencies.

imagine the security implications too;
being able to 'learn' the remote locking RF signal of any vehicle!!
