How difficult is it to take a MX 3000 file and adapt for use in a MX 980? Other than changing the graphics I'm assuming it some be fairly intuitive. Also does any body have IR codes for the Arcan DVD DV 137?

you can't adapt an mx3000 file to an mx980 file, you start from scratch, you could save your msc triggers if using the msc and use those in the 980 or use some of your graphics but the remote will have to be completely built from scratch
