I received the MX-900 and the MRF-260 base station over the weekend. I am having the following problems:

1. When I try a live update, I get a message that says: Fail to save patch file.

2. After learning/programming numerous times via both the IR database and learning methods, it will not control my volume up (only volume dn and mute) on my Lexicon DC-1 pre-am.

also:

3. When pressing "watch" and then cable, it will not switch to the available pages. The pages have been programmed using the edit buttons, but the screen will not move off the "Watch" main screen. The same thing happens when I press watch, then DVD.
Is this a bad unit, or am I missing something? I owned, and personally programmed a MX-800 which has worked great for years. I also notice that when "stuck" on the watch home page, some of the hard buttons don't make an audible sound - some do.
Your help appreciated.

You need to add a page jump at the end of a macro to go somewhere. Unlike the 850 which would just go to the device of the button that you pressed.

Thanks, adding the the page jump to the macro worked perfect.

Any thoughts on the volume issue? All my hard buttons work fine except the volume up. I've learned and re-learned it several times and nada.

Does the sound goes through TV or AV Receiver? It seems like the Puch through function was not asssign properly.

Try deleting all ir and macro commands of the hard button. highlight button, right click and off you go. after that, use the ir database and assign the correct ir vol up. that should do it.

If you are using Vista, open the MX-900 Editor by right clicking its' shortcut and select "Run as administrator". Only necessary for running a Live Update or checking firmware.
