First of all, the 980 is a great improvement over the pronto remotes I have had in the past. The software is fairly powerful and flexible and probably efficient once you have devices and templates saved. However, with a few changes it could be more intuative and efficient for initial setup. Simple things like an undo button, the ability to copy button layouts to multiple pages, and removing the need for "Alt" when copying between pages would be a good start. However, it is still faster to for me program than a similar setup on a Pronto.

I have the devices and macros programmed and everything has worked without a hitch. A few questions have come up though:

1) When I add a device and buttons using the Alpha template, I get a mix of button shapes and backgrounds. I have been using "Paste Special" to change each background and button. It works fine but is time consuming. Is there a way to change a group of pages to have an identical layout in one step? I saw the post on making a custom template, but I could not get it to work as I only have the Alpha template. Would getting the add-on set allow this?

2) When adding an AVR with multiple sets of codes like the new Denons, should I add a device and button set for each code set? If so, would it be best to then move the pages all into one device?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
