Hi. Here is the problem. New MX850. When I download a configuration file, the MX850 says "loading", then half way through, the screen changes to test mode:
LCD - OK
RAM - OK
IROUT- Failed
IRAMP- Failed
Then it continues loading, and completes. The same configuration file works fine in other MX850's (no error's). This error message occurs with ANY configuration file and on different computers (so it is not the file, the computer, or cable).
By the way, the test mode screen also comes on when you first insert the batteries and reports no errors! This MX850 seems to work okay with the downloaded configuration file. I'm not sure why it reports these two error messages during the download of a configuration file. I spoke to tech support at Universal Remote, they had me do a hard reset, but that did not fix the problem. Any thoughts?
Thanks

IROUT and IRAMP always fail on MX-850's. Well, I guess there's sometimes they don't, but 99% of the time they do.
It's completely normal, nothing is wrong with the remote and there's nothing to be worried about.

And the first time you do a download to an MX900, you get a Db Error, the remote resets, and then downloads the file again without problems.
