Hello,
I have a Fail!5 error on my display and the unit will not connect to the PC to have a download.
I was in the middle of a download and I toggled my KVM switch on the computer. At this moment, the download stopped and the remote shows this error.
When I try to re-download, I get an error message that the cable may have failed or the com port is wrong. I know that both are working as I just downloaded the same file to my second MX-850 in my house.
Any ideas on how to cure this problem? I thought that hard reset was Menu+Stop. I press these two buttons and nothing happens.

I got it working. The hard reset was Main+Enter for 10 seconds.
