I have no problem w/ this thread, even though the initial post did trigger some flags of mine.

Too much censoring screws up discussion.

I think it makes perfect natural sense to compare the new Harmony One to the new wizard based MX810.

I'd even "guess" the Harmony will smash the MX810 in sales and feedback.

I'm curious how customizeable this LCD will be and it's pricepoint is impressive in comparison..

I would still be very concerned about the buggy, unflexible on-line programming aspects of any Harmony product. Most of their stuff in the past has been junk, IMHO.

I don't believe in censorship, but in the same breath I don't believe that someone should be posting on a forum to drum up business.

Lets look at the last orginal post from RonL

4 of the 6 have to do with new things coming from Harmony.

Does that sound like a rep? Yes you have been here for years, maybe you have been a rep for year? I don't know and I don't care. But I feel that it is wrong to try to pedel or premote products under the guise of being URC user.

Lee, I really wish you would ease up with the personal attacks and focus on the topic in my first post. If you aren't interested in that topic, fine, but please don't crap in the thread.

As I said before, I have nothing to do with Harmony besides owning a 720 remote, which I've criticized plenty of times for its poor ergonomics. I'm sure many long-term members will recognize who I am, including Mr. Tonks. Those that do not recognize me can search the last four years of search results; look past the first few pages of search results, and you'll find most of my posts relate to URC remotes.

I'm sorry that you see it as a personal attack, but why did you alter your original post?

I moved the questions from the bottom of the first post to the top because it looked like certain posters were ignoring it. I also removed the sentence asking whether there would be an effect on URC's bottom line, since that was rather redundant.

In my last post, I initially linked to a number of my past pro-URC posts on this forum. Then I decided I was not going to dignify meritless personal attacks.

my last on this subject.

Harmony reviews belong on the Harmony forum.

I'm sure your a nice guy, but calling you a rep is not a personal attack. And believe it or not your post look like you have ties to harmony.

As a long time member you will know that I don't usually flame on members of our forum. I usually come here to relax, answer question, and sometime ask question.
But your post really flamed me because it looked like you were thrilled that Harmony finially made a remote that was better then one of URC's. And by no means do I think that URC is the end all of remotes, it is just the one I prefer.

This is the last on this subject from me. I sure you will see post from me on URC from time to time, but you won't be reading post on Harmony from me reviewing URC remotes against Harmony.

The new Harmony looks quite interesting. However, I've heard it only uses IR not RF. Isn't that a pretty significant difference?

I just purchased an MX-980, but I think we might need a second remote for the bedroom and will have to eventually think about options.
