I need to set up a Yamaha TX-950 Tuner on an MX980. I found an entry in the IR data base, but it seems to be a receiver/amp/processor?? It's certainly not a tuner. When I bought the tuner, it didn't come with a remote. Therefore, I don't have anything to teach the MX980 with.

Anyone have codes for this tuner, by any chance??

Another question on the same subject: I located a file in the file section that has the TX-950 codes in a complete system file for a Pronto. This is a .pcf file. Is there a way to import these codes into my MX-980? I've tried the import function and it doesn't recognize this format. I thought I'd heard that these Complete Control remotes could import from a Pronto, but how does this really work?

Is there a way to directly input the codes other than learning them? The documentation for the MX-980 is very sketchy and leaves a great deal unsaid. I think that's going to improve based on stuff I've read here, but for now, there ain't much.

In the URC database.... try using the Audio/Yamaha/codeset 661. They may work.

Thank you!! At least some of them work. Since I never had a remote for this tuner, I'm not sure what can be controlled and what can't. It's a great tuner, but it's controllability isn't all that could be hoped for.
