I would wait until a MS announcement. Back in 2005 before the 360 launched there were many rumours that it will have an HD DVD player until it came out (and even then some where trying to convince others that it would be upgradeable to HD DVD). When the rumours on the elite started it was heavily rumoured that it will have HD DVD but it did not. I just see these rumours for what they are the delusional high hopes of HD DVD fan boys. "things will change soon and HD DVD will reverse its constant and massive loss because of ______". _____ in this case is the rumoured 360 HD DVD.


MS is interested in DL and gaining a foothold in the LR. They don't care about HD DVD (or loosing too much money on it) so their support of it is all about stagnating HD sales so that BD does not win and DL get pushed back.
