I just did a 4310 and had no issues

Just a cat5 cable plugged into the XP-8 and then to rj45-db9 connected to the receiver.

MAke sure you are sending commands to correct port, and 2 way is off on the receiver....set to serial

I was using the driver commands, it was missing a few that I had to add and use regular 232 commands

There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.
