I hooked up the new cable (just running it across the floor 1st) and it works fine. I was able to get 1080P out of my PS3. So I guess it was a poor HDMI cable.
I then connected the Octava extender just to see if I would notice any difference and I do notice a difference in quality. Small difference, but I'm going to leave it connected. I might as well since I have it.
Now I need to get a neighbor to help me lift this monster 58V10 TV off of the wall so I can run the new cable. This TV is very heavy and I have it wall mounted.
I also need to move the AC outlet up a few inches to make room for a small surge protector.
I'll post again when all of the work is complete.
