I have had an mx-810 for about 2 years now and recently it has developed a lot of quirks.

The buttons are starting to squeak when they are pressed and do not feel as responsive as they once were. Also, the LCD frequently turns all white when the unit has not been used for a few hours.

I use my remote fairly heavily and had a couple of questions.

First, are these issues common with this unit? I ask because none of my other URC remotes have had any issues even though some of them are much older.(MX-500, MX-800, MX-850)

If they are, what remote would you recommend to replace this one? I have been otherwise very happy with the mx-810. I use it for a one-room setup in a bedroom. I would also like to get something that would be compatible with my MRF-350.
