I didn't have any problems with the USB driver,
as you did. But then I run a different environment.
The interesting thing was that I did the following in a repeat scenario.
1. Uninstall all software
2. Reboot
3. Clean up registry
4. Reinstall the software
5. Reboot
After following these procedures, the device and driver were recognized immediately.
