I have two RFX-6000 units mounted high on the back wall of my equipment closet just 2 feet above my equipment rack. The first extender I have had for a couple years now. The second was just added recently. To this day I've not experienced problems with either extender. The furthest spot out is my bedroom some 60 plus feet away. No problems. I also have a wireless network, wireless phones, and other things which could potentially interfere I guess, but they don't. While I know these extenders can give headaches to many, perhaps you should not rule out your extender or remote being defective. The RF capabilities of my first TSU3000 just didn't work. Operation over IR was flawless. Atttempting to use RF left me dead in the water. I tried everything. Finally I decided to return the remote for another one. The second TSU3000 I put to the test passed with flying colors.
