Take the mainboard without any screen, put the battery and connect to the computer. The board should work without a screen too.
It looks from here you have a bad board or you have a corrupted firmware.
The board is not toasted but a part of it is not working. I have a TSU3000 board here that is the exact opposite of yours 7000 board, hard buttons don't work but screen works.
