OK, I'm stumped. I have connected my 7500 via the cradle and directly, I have run it directly from the PC rather than via a hub, I have installed the PPE software as an administrator and have even gone to the extent of purchasing a Win 98 laptop and attempted to modify a PCF file and uploading it pack to the 7500. All to no avail. Every attempt results in the PC reading that there has been an error and the 7500 indicating that there was and incorrect cf version or corrupt memory. The unit retains the message whether I reset, pull the battery or pray. The only way I can bring it back to functionality is to reload the latest firmware with the base config. I am running the most recent firmware and PPE. Any attempt to modify the newly loaded config via PPE results in the same error.
