Have you guys tried setting your network settings manually, and NOT keeping it to DHCP? Just do DHCP then go back to fixed.
I don't know when exactly this was fixed, but there were some bad network problems in early firmware revisions, particularly when trying to update the firmware. When booting, hold the scroll wheel down until you get a special setup menu, then check your network settings (everything, from IP to DNS servers) and adjust if necessary. Only *then* try a firmware update (marking the remote for update is also an option under this setup menu).
I just tried an update this instant and it worked just fine... the latest is V1.5.6.
Although I will say that the iPronto portal seems to be having minor issues (but does come up) and the EPG update is giving me a strange error - "Your device is not recognized as an authentic Philips device. Please contact support (401)".
Is there a big market in counterfeit iProntos?
