I too have the same interests as Robert Mathews. I currently have 4 Pronto's in the house, 2 Pronto Pro's and two original Pronto's.
I am interested in a capability where I can issue a TCP/IP sequence as a response to a button press or screen touch that would be fielded by a PC on the network. Obviously you do just that for the Netx Device, sending the equivqalent of IR timing. Could you open the protocol for communications to the netX device so one could write a PC resident handler to act as the NetX device and control things. That is the heart of home automation and would open up many home automation possibilities for the iPronto. The sequences could be very simple, all that is needed is a number indicating what was touched on the ipronto. The PC is smart enough to do all of the rest.
