Dear Remote Central visitors,

Although not very visible until today, Philips has always been here visiting the site every day.

Today we want to take the opportunity to express our appreciation to you for the valuable feedback you gave, you are giving and we hope you will continue to give us. Your passionate e-mails and posts (all of them) are a strong motivation for the entire Philips Pronto Team. The feedback on Remote Central is also a way to help influence new generations of Pronto hardware and software. It has been with your help that the current Pronto line has introduced many more features than the original TS1000.

Obviously this is possible thanks to Daniel and to the beautiful place he has created. As a manufacturer, Philips did not participate actively in the discussions out of respect to the independent community and Daniel. Unfortunately this already happens way to often in discussion forums where manufacturers use the anonymity a forum can bring to influence consumers. Daniel and Remote Central have gained their reputation because of Daniels honesty in his reports and by keeping his site a user community and not a marketing site for manufacturers.

We met Daniel again at the Cedia 2003 Show and he has invited us to take a more active role on Remote Central interacting with the community in explaining, offering feedback and updates to Pronto products. We gladly accept the invitation and will participate with the “ProntoTeam” username. The ProntoTeam will answer objectively and unbiased on Pronto questions.

Please keep in mind that we are working on taking your feedback and developing future Pronto remote controls. Therefore we will not be able to answer each and every question. We will do our best to communicate more about upcoming releases: when they will be posted and if we are working on a solution for a bug you have encountered. If you however run into something that you believe has not been documented please use the feedback forms on http://www.Pronto.Philips.com
