Those are good ideas, but cycling though will most definitly get out of sync after a while. If I want Movie mode for DVD's, Vivid for XBOX360, and Standard for TV, switching activities in a random orders will switch it to the wrong setting after a while.
For what it's worth, I did map the "Picture Mode" button to the LCD, so while it's not the best solution, it's definitly functional.
