I have not installed but the product manager for Logitech informs me the 890 Pro will do what you want. As for the 890, I have not used this portion of the software but, under the tab "remote settings", then "manage remotes", there is an option to add devices. The software did prompt me to add another extender, but I didn't have another one with me to try the test. You might try this. Give it a different name so you can select which devices to control via distinct extender. It should then prompt when you update to update one or both extenders, depending upon the changes you made. Let me know if this works.
