There is an extra up/down button, between Menu/Exit and
Info Guide, that is usually not programmed.
I've moved Guide to Prev - which also isn't used - and
moved Info down to the Guide button.
Menu isn't needed for Sky.
So now the colours are Menu>Red, Up>Green, Down>Yellow,
Info>Blue.
It's a very useful location for them, immediately above
the navigation, volume up/down, and channel up/down section,
and is actually more practical than the colour buttons
on the Sky remote.
It sounds like a hassle, but it works in practice, so
I'm happy with it - but dedicated colour buttons would
be an improvement, without question.

Many thanks for that. Unfortunately I need most if not all those buttons for my PVR and DVD recorder. The dedicated Page Up/Down buttons take the sting out of it slightly. Currently I've got them assigned to soft buttons, so I'll effectively be losing only two, not four.

I won't be buying another 885. I've had two: both had buttons packing up after a year. The first one was changed under warranty with days to spare and the second has failed after about 13 months, so this time they won't replace it.

This leaves me with a choice: a One or a 785. Common sense tells me to go for the 785: it has the colour buttons AND hard Page Up/Down buttons, at the expense of six soft buttons rather than eight. It also has six activities per page. And it's cheaper.

On the other hand, I've seen the One close up, and it's very nice...

Anybody comment on tactile experience/ergonomics of the One vs. 785?
