There is a device upgrade in the JP1 Group and
with a JP1 cable and JP1 capable OFA remote you
could upload the device upgrade to an OFA remote,
test all possible commands and then learn them
to your MX-500.

The upgrade does not indicate any discrete commands.
It uses NEC1:0.

You might see if it turns On from Off with a Play
command. If so a macro for Play|Stop is Power
On and Play|Power Toggle is Off.

Hello and thanks!,

Not to sound like a complete dolt, but what are you referring to by device upgrade?

I have read some of the JP1 faq and other material, but have not tried it out. I guess I need to buy a cable and and JP1 remote first.

Also, I sent Manowa (makers of the momitsu) tech sipport an email asking for discretes, and they sent me back a jpg of the remotes faceplate and a list of the buttons and their corresponding codes. However, these do not look like Pronto type Hex codes to me, though I could be very wrong. Is there a way to post that jpg here?

From what I can make of it, it does not seem like there are discrete codes possible, but ICBW.

Thanks again.
