OK, so I've been all over with searches and stuff but still no luck. There is all manner of discussion on makehex, etc. But I still don't get it. May be I'm just a donut.

I managed to get an excel file from sharp with the codes in this format:

10001 101101 11 10

that is for ext-1.

I have seen other people posting codes that have more digits at the end. Mine do not. They are exactly as above.

I can find ALL SORTS on this site, but I cannot find a solution to the makehex thing. Basically I cannot find out what to put in makehex for device and function.

I want to end up with a pronto hex code that I can paste into pronto edit.

These sharp codes are always changing from what I can tell, and this latest excel file is likely to be good for the latest models. So I would like to convert these codes myself.

If I'm being dumb, please tell me!
Sticking to what I'm good at.
