Don't ya just love how well they work?
I just tell the client, "If it doesn't work the first time you try it, stand on one foot, raise your left hand, extend your right arm towards the stack of equipment, construct a headset antenna from aluminum foil with 2 six inch antennas (one near the forehead, one near the back of the head), PRAY, then try it again."
Seriously, you can't expect much from a cheap RF system. We've had RF problems with more expensive remote systems (Lexicon 700TRF), and found that it's really an art to get consistancy and reliability.
We are in the process of moving to Crestron, not that that will be the fix-all, but I heard no complaints about RF with Crestron.
